On 6th July, Mr Johnston organised a sports festival day for the whole school. Everyone took part in six sports activities: tri-golf, cricket, tennis, multi-skills games, football and athletics. The day was planned for the children to have non-competitive fun, and a great time was had by all!
We are very proud of everything the children achieved in Sport last year.
We have had a health and fitness week at school. The children were given booklets to record their physical exercise, nutrition and hydration. This was then discussed in P.E. lessons to see how they could improve. We are teaching the children to be more aware of their fitness and how nutrition contributes to this.
Well done to Y1/2 multi-skills team for winning a tournament at Dearne Valley.
A Year 5/6 tag-rugby team triumphed at a tournament at Wheatley Hills rugby club. They won every game, scoring 21 tries against other good rugby teams from Doncaster schools. Congratulations!
The winning team.
Year 5/6 winners! Congratulations!
Looking forward to the North Doncaster finals!
We have been designated a Centre of Excellence for P.E.!
