At the Doncaster Kwick-Cricket finals, the children won four games out of four, including beating last year's winners, Norton Primary School, in a very close and entertaining game. They narrowly lost to Copley Junior School, by only 2 points, in a game that could have gone either way. The children improved throughout the competition, listening to advice and learning from their decisions. Their work as a team was excellent - they pulled together and supported each other. Another great performance by the children at our school!
Our cricketers played in the pyramid cricket competition. The winners would be going through to the Doncaster School Games Kwick-Cricket finals at Doncaster Cricket Club. We won the pyramid competition after winning all three games. It came down to the last game against Woodlands Primary School. We narrowly won by just 7 runs to qualify for the finals. Another great performance by our children! Congratulations to the children and thanks to everyone who made it happen.
Sixty children from Years 1 and 2 attended a Key Stage 1 ECB All Stars cricket event at Doncaster Deaf School. They took part in a lot of different cricket- based skills and activities with children from other Doncaster schools. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed the festival- type event. They had a great day and the children said how much they enjoyed it and what fun it was.
The Year 3/4 cricket team played in the Kwik-Cricket finals at Brodsworth Cricket Club. There were sixteen Doncaster schools taking part. The children won two games and drew one in their group and qualified as group winners. They went on to play in the semi-final and lost to the eventual winners, Warmsworth Primary School. The children played well and improved their skills and understanding of the game. Well done to all concerned!
