Assemblies

Assemblies are a cornerstone of our commitment to personal development and play a vital role in enriching the lives of our pupils. Throughout the week, our assembly programme provides valuable opportunities for children to develop essential life skills, explore and reflect upon our school values, and deepen their understanding of British Values. We actively promote cultural capital by broadening pupils' experiences and knowledge of the world around them, introducing them to a wide range of cultures, traditions, and perspectives.

Our assemblies also inspire curiosity through the exploration of different musical genres, helping children develop an appreciation of music from across the world and throughout history. We celebrate the achievements and contributions of significant individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating how people can make a positive impact regardless of their protected characteristics. In doing so, we foster respect, inclusion, equality and aspiration for all.

At the end of each week, we come together as a school community to celebrate children's successes both in and out of school. These celebration assemblies recognise academic achievement, personal growth, effort, kindness, and wider accomplishments, helping to build confidence, self-esteem and a strong sense of belonging. Through our assembly programme, we strive to develop well-rounded, informed and respectful citizens who are prepared for life beyond the classroom.
