We understand that closing school, a bubble or having your child isolate will have a significant impact upon both parents and children. As a school, we have collated a number of activities and learning opportunities, both online and those to complete without the internet, to help you structure your time at home during this period of closure.
We have organised Remote Education into four sections:
1) Teacher Planned Activities: This is where class teachers will upload work they have specifically planned for their classes. These activities will be uploaded daily, no later than 9am. The PE page is where Mr Johnston will upload challenges, videos and activities he has created for the children to complete at home. He will also post videos on our school PE Facebook page. Some teachers may upload their resources to Dojo instead, this will be communicated with you where this is the case.
2) Online Resources and Downloads: This page will provide links to online resources and documents to download to continue your child's academic learning in all curriculum areas. All links are to websites which are completely free to access - please do not pay to sign up to anything.
3) Hands On Activities: This page will provide links to ideas for keeping children active during school closures and provide ideas for more creative, hands on learning to complete at home. Activities range from baking and craft to den building and foraging.
4) Key Skills Grids: This page provides grids containing activities that will continue to develop your child's key skills in each subject across the curriculum.
If you have any questions about remote education during school closures, please contact your child's class teacher via Dojo. They will be happy to help as much as possible!
